Hi, I'm wondering if someone could give a basic breakdown for the models, specifically in 1993

I know there is base, touring, and R1

I am curious specifically how each one is setup. I'm assuming the touring and R1 are based off of, well, the base model (no pun intended). However I'm not sure what the touring package consists of.

Basically what I'm looking for is for someone to say this..

Base = (you only need to tell me the important stuff i.e. sunroof y/n, oil cooler y/n, leather, etc etc.)

Touring = Base + a b c

R1 = Base = x y z

I have an idea of the answer, but I figured I'd take the guessing out of it, there isn't a definitive answer to this that I could find. Thanks in advance, I'm new to the 7 scene.

All Cars:

1993:

All models come with:

Leather-trimmed steering wheel with airbag, power windows and door locks, five-speaker Am/Fm radio/cassette with electric antenna, alarm, cruise control with commonly used buttons mounted on steering wheel(except for R1), 4 wheel disk brakes, 5-speed manual, Anti-lock Brake System(ABS), 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, power mirrors, light weight aluminum hood, 9000-rpm tachometer with 8000-rpm redline, 180-mph speedometer, Air conditioning, Drilled aluminum clutch and brake pedals(manual transmission only).

Available colors:

Silver Stone Metallic, Montego Blue Mica, Vintage Red, Brilliant Black and Competition Yellow Mica(R1 only).

Base model:

Cloth seats.

Options available to base model:

R1 aerodynamic body parts(rear spoiler, front airdam), leather seating in black, tan or red depending on paint color. 4-speed automatic transmission.

According to my Rx7 book, Rx7 Mazda's Rotory Engine Sportscar, a base model could be made to look like an R1 by including the "aerodynamic aids" as options. But it wouldn't have the harsher ride.

R1 package:

Rear spoiler, front airdam , dual engine oil collers, tuned suspension, front tower bar, ZR-rated tires, front brake cooling ducts in the front airdam skirt, suede seating(finished in black). Available paint colors were red, black or yellow(available only in the R1). Leather seating unavailable to the R1. R1 only available as manual transmission. On the R1, cruise control buttons weren't located on the steering wheel.

Touring package:

Leather seats, Bose Acoustic Wave stereo with CD player, High-reflex paint, Halogen fog lights, rear window wiper washer, power sunroof with/ tilt-up feature, removable rear cargo cover, better sound insulation, Leather trim in black, tan or red, depending on paint color.

Options available to Touring models:

4-speed automatic transmission
