I fitted the bumper a little more, think I have it where I want it so now I can take the front lip off and respray it. Thats the last piece of the car I have to spray.



I got the coupe lights in, I really like them without the keyhole. I just need to run my emergency trunk release out the bottom of the car incase the in-car one breaks one day so I can still get in the trunk.



I have some time coming to me this weekend so I may do the carpet and the seats, not sure yet as I may want to get the car back to Waynespeed so he can install the V500 Wolf and do my retune and bother with the seats and the carpet later.



Think tomoroww if its not raining I will take it and put some gas in it, make sure no couplers want to fall off because I also put fully polished all stainless t-bolt clamps in place of the partially stainless clamps I had in the engine compartment.



put the smoked/cleared front markers in and just sat the FTP lenses in place to snap a photo

I took the hood off to finish some things up, while I had it off I snapped a pic of my dusty engine bay, but check out those all stainless polished t-bolt clamps!

 

been meaning to shorten mine... one of these days... ive just tried to hide em... tbolts only showin the band

very clean rob... youve got more room for a bigger turbo.. it looks rather unproportionate there..

 

its hard to shorten them too much, they squeeze on then by the time you tighten them you have a little bit of the bolt showing.



Hard to spin the ones by the throttle body because then you are trying to wrench them next to the oil filter, but im still playing with things and always end up changing something everytime I clean it.



I got the clamps through one of my marine suppliers, now I have to change the rest of them to match.

Sanded and polished my hood this evening, it had rained all day and was cloudy out when I took the pictures, but you can see the clouds in the reflection, thought the pictures came out cool for my cheapo camera.



I had some time with this damm hood. I had purchased it in the fall, it arrived not as advertised with some damage on it. I had a paintless dent guy do his thing because I did NOT want a black hood with ANY bodywork on it. My old steel hood was 10000% perfect, but it was heavy.



So I stripped the paint down to the original primer, funny how everytime you get used body parts they are from some color car you never seen? Well this hood came a dark white that was almost gray.



I primed it, and thats when I noticed there were dimples going inward. Turns out the adhesive that holds the skin of the hood to the supports had gone bad and was pulling the skin in. This is the second time I have seen this on a FC hood. I heated them up and popped them out, but they were still there- so I had the paintless dent guy come back again and do his thing. We ended up releasing almost all the glue spots.



Then I urethaned some thin neoprene strips to the supports so that when you lean on the hood to clean it or wax it does not flex all over the joint.
