my winter projects always turn into "finish it the night before the car show" project, no matter how long I give myself!

got everything sanded and polished, now started to bolt everything back on the car.

Got the doors and pass fender on, S5 mirrors, door moldings, rear bumper, rear body moldings all on.

Just have to get the other fender on, hood, and bumper, I was not sure if I was going to mount the front bumper right away

because I want to change the AC condensor, but I could just squueze in through the engine compartment side to do that I guess.

Also still up in the air over what type of mesh to put in the bumper opening, either stainless or black- not sure yet?

in my younger days I would have done EVERYTHING over one weekend, you know when you getting old when you cant put the late nights in without feeling like someone beat you up the next day.

I wish I could take a week vacation and really get some stuff done

oh yeah- tires came in today, damm that was fast!

The temperature here dropped a lot and my garage is not heated. I'm affraid that Silicone RTV I'm going to use to seal the oil pan may not cure at 14F. Plus the fact it has a baffle plate sandwich with the block and pan means I'm quite worried about leaks.

The paint is waiting for the body shop to free up. A fellow rx7club member on teh canadian forum owns his own body shop. He is 3rd generation owner of the shop and said he would personally do my car after Deals Gap Rotary Reunion. So that is end of April.

Full repaint including repainting the engine bay. Strip off all mouldings. Weld up the antenna hold. Get rid of the bondo on the passenger fender and fix it proper. Fix cracked aero mirrors. Repair / replace bumper covers (I have spares) and repaint. Pull off all trim and put new rubber trim. Inspect all wheel wells for rust. Repair my crappy rust repair from 5 years ago in the strut tower area. Install Feed Lip. Modify the front bumper like yours (he mentioned the bumper might sag if you cut out all the material. Is this true?), pull the sun roof and repaint (my isn't rusty). Realign rad support and all lighting brackets. Fix droopy fog lights and realign.

I'm excited.

thanks dudes, I have played with the fender and hood gaps on this car for an hour now, guess its only going to get so good- this aint no brand new Lexus with the ball bearing test, lol.

I ordered a bunch of clips and retainers, between those and the structural urethane im hoping to drill as little holes as possible in the body for the side skirts.
