Why You Should Never Use Delrin Diff Mounts
So I made my self some fancy delrin rear diff mounts.
Guess what? DO NOT EVER USE THOSE. ESPECIALLY if you have a racing beat torque brace for the engine.
Anyone want to guess what the outcome is? I'll put up pics after I get out of the shower

it's leaking tranny oil... i noticed a nice spot under the car today as I lifted it up. I wonder if ithat is what is killing my clutch... i opened up the inspection plate and could not tell if the disc was wet or not... will drop it tommorrow

Most of those look like overstressed casting cracks.
Did the motor blow up at some point in that car? Looks like a thousand years of grime has accumulated under there.
And for god sake, PUT THE HAMMER DOWN! What did that tranny ever do to you? I could see beating the **** out of it after it gave you problems, but damn.

[quote name='TYSON' date='Jun 1 2005, 10:14 PM']Were you hitting it with a hammer or what? What are all those dents?

yup. I was trying to see if i could knock a crack apart. But I couldn't It was a 12 mm wrench that I tapped it with.
I don't know where all this tranny oil is coming from then, because the last time I replaced my clutch 20,000 kms ago i replaced both the front and rear tranny seals. Looks like I will know tommorrow for sure.
When the car was brand new the owner had the car undercoated, it's the stuff that doesn't dry and you can't really remove it...
