hey everybody. got a few questions as to whether im wheel hoppin or in the worst case schenario, i've got a busted rear end. any time my car gets revved up at all and the clutch is let out, the rear end sounds like its about to fall out and the car feels like its having massive wheel hop. i was wondering if this was anything common at all or if my **** is just bout to fall apart. i was gona use the rear for my T2 swap to my GXL but if its fucked, i guess i'll be rollin with a auto shaft for a while. let me know any info you guys might come up with. thanks!

Differential mount(s), cv joint(s), bent half shaft(s), or anything that may be out of whack.

Are you dropping the clutch at 7K, or just shifting at 7K

Every 2 gen I've driven hops when the wheels let loose. I would take it easy until you fix the diff mount or whatever it is.

i was droppin the clutch near 7 the first day i got it(yes, i know abuse!) but it does it no matter how you let go of the clutch. im pretty sure its a mount though cause it sounds like the rear is bout to jump out of the car. i'll definently try to get that fixed asap.

also- looking down at the rear of the trans, i can see the driveshaft slide up on the tail shaft of the trans. it moves about 1-2 inches foward when the clutch is engaged. the rear struts sound like they're gonna go through the hatch when i get down on it too.

Your front diff mount is busted and your rear shocks may be blown, if the car is bottoming out. Get a pinion snubber.

You may want to check your trans mount.

i havent been under it to find out yet, hopefully i will by friday or so. i hope i'll sell it before i have to fix it. any takers? 1000$ and somebody can take it home. theres no hood, windshield, front fender or bumper. other than that, its ok besides some TLC. i bought it as a project and im in deeper than my wallet. most every single problem the car has is common to FC's. im in the middle of NC.
