When i get my car out of the shop what should i mod first it is being rebuild and ported. i think i should go with exhaust than the t2 trans swap (i hate my ol sluge pump )

go with the true dual exhaust from mazdatrix. i looks mean and i bet it sounds awesome. actually, the have a sound clip on the web site for what it sound like.



they also claim a 28% power increase, which is pretty big.

FCmaniac i have someone who will sell me the whole drivetrain out of a t2 for 700 is that a good price on it? the exhaust i have no are rusted like hell RX7Aggie them pipes are damn nice but cost a little more than i have right now what would the effects be if i just ran open headers till i got a real exhaust system o yea btw if you list other could you please tell me what it is

$700 sounds pretty steep unless its in damn good shape. Why the T2 trans and rear? Unless you plan on doing a full T2 swap later on (engine and everything), you could save money and get a NA trans with driveshaft and LSD rear (from a GXL if you have an S4). I'd check with Banzaitoyota and search around.



Open headers will have you wanting ear plugs in no time BTW.

That would be the GTUs LSD unit.



EXHAUST is my vote. I have the TRUE DUALS. Meammn- VERY Sound-GREAT and not like a chainsaw Price-WORTH EVERY PENNY.





You can make your own for a bit less if you have acces to a mandrel bender. Just make sure you use RB mufflers or it won't sound that good.

Oh yeah and you dont NEED the TII tranny unless you plan to do a turbo swap, go with some heavy mods, or buy that s/c kit from atkins.
