Its probably the thermostat. I had the same thing happen to me. My car was fine I caught it in time.



I always have a spare t-stat just in case. They seem to just stop working without warning.

Is it ok to drive without one? Won't it just take a long time to warm up, or are there other issues involved?

It's fine to drive without one, I used to remove it from my jeep whenever we went rock climbing, actually keeps the ****** nice and cool. As far as hurting anything, it's warm enough around here that you won't have any issues, in a colder climate it''lls never heat up. It will however take longer to reach operating temp =, especially in the morning, but as far as getting it home you'd be better off driving without then with a fubared one.

She didn't, she just offered. Probably because I'm at work, and she knows how to turn a wrench if she needs to. I think I've got what I need, I'll do it when I get off work.
