Just got a motor rebuilt with the RA seal using old housing. The motor start up with the maf plugged but die right away. When the maf is unplug it would start and hold idleonce the motor warms up I plugged the maf it idle and runs fine. What could be the problem? I swap maf with same result.

Good seals!

Anyways personaly I think it's your AFM then but if you swapped it with another one and got the same result I donno... maybe even that one was bad too or not the right one. Couldn't really tell unless I was there to look at it or knew more info. If you hold down the gas with the AFM plugged in will it run? Good luck.

The other afm worked on the other S5 TII. When cold start with the afm plugged it just start and die immediately. When unplug on cold start it start and I could rev the rpm until the motor warms up. Once the motor warms up I can plug the afm and the car runs and idle fine. The car only has 200 miles on a rebuilt so could the RA seal be the problem? I had this seal on an FD and it start right up.
