With my car on the voltage reads 14 all the time. Only time i see 12 volts is on acc. It could just be your battery or guage? Im not sure but i know mine doesnt do that .

you should have the charging system looked at, it should stay over 12.5-13 all the time. look at your battery cables, the b+ wire one the alternator, and the alternator itself. mt car used to do that, the alternator and battery cables were both in poor condition

Mine drops to just about 12.5 with the lights on. This didn't happen until I put on the alt. underdrive pulley. The lights dim at idle.

that's another side effect, all lights dim under 2k too, i also have fog lights, lots of stereo crap and ricer style cobra eyes..i tested it on my way home and the thing that pulled the juice down the most was teh fog lights, after i turned them off and then on again, i didn't drop nearly as low as before...sounds really wierd, i am pretty good with electronics, but this I have no idea..

Maybe you're just overtaxing the stock charging system. How many watts are your amps RMS? How are the fog lights hooked up? You may want to consider a higher amp alternator. You also have to consider all the wiring and grounds aren't as good as new after 16 years...

I don't have the E shaft pulley on yet but I dont drive that car much on the street and I'm going to switch to a manual steering rack and take out the A/C. Then I'll just have 2 alternator belts and nothing else. I'm trying to remove as much stuff as I can and still keep it somewhat street driveable.

i have an 800watt (though ppl really don't like to believe it puts that out, hell don't think it'll push past 600) Pyramid Crystal COmpetion amp and i have no idea what it's RMS is but it's an old turtle shell RF 40ix....i checked all the wires on teh alternator and battery today, no problems or defects that i could see...i have everything (cept the amps) ran to the + and - posts of the battery, someone told me that was the best way to do it...i dunno, i know **** about DC......
