after my car has reach op temp, i pop the hood and poke my head around. lo and behold i hear a sucking sound.

it seems to be coming from the dynamic air chamber(thingy sitting on the engine), the side that faces the rear of the car. any common problems from that area? i can't seem to pinpoint the leak. its not very loud, but im sure its not good. there are two very tiny pipe-things coming out from the rear, really close to where the intake feeds into the DAC. they are simply plugged up with rubber caps, wut are they?

where are the 6th port actuators located? they were removed from the car by previous owner, and i'd like to see how it looks now.

thanks in advance.

Do you have problems with your idle? Or does it idle fine on its own?

the blue things are the actuators (credit goes to isamu) from the FAQ section:

if your not sur that its a leak spray some carb cleaner back thier with it running if your idle changes then yes its def a leak

if not then its reallly not that bad if its a leak at all

those rupper caps are most likly just vac line caps if you think they are leaking go to your local autoparts stor buy some new ones and replace them

thanks.

idle is fine after it warms up, it steadies out to 800rpm ish.

before that it starts off at 3k, whcih i think its supposed to. then after like 1 minute or 2 it drops to 800 and is steady. but during those initial minutes, the engine itself vibrates a lot. then it smoothes out when it gets to 800 rpm. the weird thing is, when i rev my engine to 3k+ (even up to 7-8k rpm) it doesnt vibrate nearly as much as it does when it firsts starts up.

that carb spray, just spray it on the lines as i please? wuts it do?

The carb cleaner is just a tool to find vaccum leaks. I use intake cleaner to find small ones. When you spray carb cleaner around the area to be suspected. the carb cleaner will be sucked into the engine and your idle will be raised a tad. depending on how big the leak is. and find out whats leaking and fix it or replace it.
