I have a 87 NA thats blown. Has been sitting for a few years, hoping to bring her back over the winter. The transmission was find, the seals were shot, and this was about 4 or 5 years ago.

What cost/problems am i going to face fininding a TII motor, upgrading the turbo a little, and swapping it in. I would also like to do the exhaust system at the same time, but plan to port and polish the stock manifolds.

I need suggestions and advice as to where to begin, what to avoid, and what to expect.

FD I highly suggest you read the T2 conversion 1Revvin7 has done, and see what nightmares he had. the link is in his signature

That bad eh? Ok so lets talk rebuilding it into the NA it is. What cost does it run to rebuild a rotory myself? dont have the 1k+ for a new one.

Doing an NA to T2 conversion isnt THAT bad, geez...

i'd recommend rebuilding the NA and then buying a T2 though...

rebuild will cost you about $600-$2000 depending on what kind of damage was done and what you put into the motor..

Blown apex seals. Tried ATF already. Where can i get a complete rebuild kit minus rotors? I'd like to get a street port too, honestly.

Atkinsrotary.com has all the rebuild parts you'd need.

If your new to porting, racingbeat.com has some good porting templates.

Apex seals 3 each per rotor...so 6 all together.

you'll need water jacket seals as well...maybe a few sets if you have to pull the motor apart again after building it..they break easy when pulling a motor apart.

if/when u pull the motor apart, just inspect everything, you'll get a better idea of what you'll need when you do that.
