My turbo is leaking....correction....gushing oil out of the compression side. My intercooler constantly has oil in it. I think I found a rebuild kit for it. I just want to make sure that it'll fix my leak. Eventually, I want to get an S5 turbo but until then I need this one to work. It's currently my Daily Driver.

The stock S4 turbo is a Hitachi HT18S-2S. Honestly, I have no idea if that rebuild kit will help you or not.

 

I'll have to keep an eye on this. I'm looking at doing the same thing (rebuild), I believe mine is leaking on the exhaust side. Knowing the exact turbo will certainly help when it comes time to find a kit. Thanks.

 

I went to a site and the rebuild kit referenced to a t3/t4 kit. I found the site when I searched on rx7club. That site is down right now so I can't find it!



But basically the site said "fro the hitachi HT18 use the kit for the Garrett T3". When the sites back up I'll try to find it. That kit was like $80 and this one is $35.

 

that kit SHOULD work, dont forget all the hybrids are t4 parts.... i'd want a little reassurance before i bought a kit though



and dont forget to either mark the wheels, or have that **** balanced
