I've just rebuuilt my engine and started her up. BUT NO go.

I'm thinking it the timing. What i did was since there was no yellow or white mark to indicate TDC on my pulley I used the eccentric drice shaft key and lined that up the the timing mark on the front cover. But that i'm thinking that didn't work. Another option is taking the spark plugs out of the rear housing and with a mirror and light turn the enige over by hand until i see an apec seal. Then move it a little more until

it between the lead and the trail spark plug and call that TDC

in the front rotor and go based off that. Also I've been turning the car over with the injectors cut off and ignition coils disconnected to prime the oil system. What i've noticed is tyhat no oil is going through that new oil lines that i bought from the oil metering pump to oil injectors. ANY thoughts?

I believe oil gets injected in as you BLIMP the throttle. So if you are just starting or idling, no oil gets pumped in.

I'm assuming the engine have been rebuilt as required. The yellow dot is in direct alignment with shaft key and should be aligned as you did. Remove the crank sensor cover (2 small screws), align the notch on the sensor housing with the dot on the gear and mark the position on parts under the cover you just removed. Now install the sensor in its place. Just keep in mind that your mark should be aligned after it is fully pushed down into the case, bolt it and it should start with this basic adjustment. If not, check for fuel on spark plug and fire, if everything is there, try pouring some oil in rotors (about 1 oz each) if it's not already done. Remove the main fuse EGI INJ, turn it over about 10 turns to lubricate chambers. Put the fuse back, it should start now! If not, check your compressions.

NO GO she just doesn't want to start. The spec are



0.self-rebuilt engine. new mid housing due to old housing

inter water seal grove break off and fell into coolent passages. Which let water into rotot housing. other then that

everything one to spec.



1.compression of rotor1 -90psi rotor 2 -93 psi



2.fuel preassure from fuel filter 55psi



3.new plugs



4. checked the resistance on wires good



5.same thing with coils good shape



6.engine gets a spark,

used a timing light on both rotors to check



7. timing is on tdc

eccentric drive key lined up with marker on front cover and

anlge sensor lined up with mark.



8.angle sensor resistance checks good



9. fuel injectors resistance checks good.



10. new battery



When I try to start it up and adjust the angle crank sensor

it get a hint of combution with some smoke out the back, but it just wont catch. I heard some combustion

then is ussually gets flooded with fuel and then i have to stop

take the plugs out turn the engine over have a nice clound of unburned fuel loom around for a second. Then I let her drie and put some oil in her and try it at a different timing setting. but i never really get any where. With some advances i get a better hit but nothing to get her going. And they are usully no where near TDC. Thnaks for any advise you could give and thanks for the advise before.

Wow, :wow: that's a feedback!

Your problem reminds me when my car once get so flooded that the only way I got to make it go, was to hook it up to a car on the driveway (rx7 in 5th gear with gas floored). It took about 300 ft and it goes. That was when I learned how to get a RX7 flooded.

I don't know if there's something wrong, but the most important things are there and the timing should not be far enough to keep it from running. So, good luck again.
