I bought an 87 TII with no motor, I also bought (due to the right price) an 89 TII engine with wiring harness, tranny and ECU. From what i've read i may have to do some re-wiring to the gage cluster, but what other problems am i going to run into? Hopefully not much, it doesnt seem to be a popular swap so i've had a little trouble finding alot of good info.

Never mind i did some searching around, and found an s4 motor for the same price. I returned the S5 and got my money back. Should be no problem now....

Yeah, I would have loved to use it but, I couldn’t find enough info, and apparently no one had any idea on what to do... Worth the trouble? The problem is I don’t even know what trouble I would be getting into.

well on the s5 motor and s5 electronics in a s4 car, that requires semi heavy rewiring basicly the ecu plugs are completly different u have to rewire them.

So is it just the Cluster/Dash harness that needs re-wired? (Should I switch back?0
