If ist a gxl its gonna be five lug, base or se is gonna be a four lug....... i

no, no, no... its a gsl with a "sport package"

it says GXL cuz I hit a wall and pulled fenders off of a GXL, they're maroon and the car is red.

the origional fenders said GSL (not SE) and it does have 5 lug wheels etc.

anyhoo we're focusing on the wrong part of the story here. what about the rules? if I (can) go to that 91 coupes transimission, would I have to upgrade the entire car to meet the 91 coupe's specs (options) to still be legal in auto-x's street prepared catagory, or IT's CS catagory? or will I have to find an exact model to pull a tranny off of? someone here has to have knowledge in this area...

Small piece of info. The M5 trans 86 & 87 had a 5th gear ratio of 0.711. In 88, the 5th gear ratio became 0.697, except for the convertible, which was still 0.711.

yeah, I figured it would be a little different. no track then.

lowest one I found so far is $1129.99 for a rebuilt, plus 450.00 core.

I was thinking how cool it would be to buy a rebuilt and keep my core. I'd be able to do the rebuild in my spare time, but better take ya'lls advice this time.

**** I hope that comes with a reach around or a kiss, something. When I said under 1k I meant like 755-800. That is rape. I have a spare tranny that nds rebuilt if you want to buy it.
