Lots of Water Pressure will BUST Pipes much as High Torque engines will break things, But you can't get any flow without some water pressure. So it's a balance.

hp is just a measure of torque, at least on a dyno. One hp is the amount of work one horse can do in 1 hour (I think?). Go to howstuffworks.com, they explain it pretty well. A basic way to think of it is that Torque is your ability to accelerate, and hp is how well is can deal with the air resistance. That's why trucks (high torque, low hp) get off the line pretty well, but take forever to say, merge on the highway.
Also, torque on a rotary is an oxymoron, like the phrase "Quality Mitsubishi", or "Fast Hyundai". It just doesn't exist.
