I put the engine back together and measured the end play. It says the good range for the end play is .0016 to .0028(in) with .0035(in) as being the max. But i have end play of .0069(in). The larges space that i could get is the S space which is only .3197(in)> the V spacer that i have now is .3157(in).

.0097 - .0057 = .0040. (can get with S spacer)

.0069 -.0022 = .0047 (need)

.0069 -.0035 = .0034 (max limit)

What options do I have ?

There is way to much end play so I'm thinking that one of the bearings are worn.Either the the rear gear bearing, front gear bearing, or the thrust needle bearings. Since there aren't any measurements for how thick they are i'm lost.

Do you usually have to replace the thrust needle bearing when rebuilding the engines? I'm getting 0.069(in) endplay when the max is 0.0035(in). Any insight will be helpful.

Thanks

Most people re-use it. Is it in good shape?
