thinking of a new engine

im thinking of getting a new engine for my 88se but what kind. im leaning twards a 13b-rew and its transmission from a 3rd gen but i cant find any place that sells the things. i was thinking of that because there is a warenty on a new engine. do some of these other places out there have warenties on their engines? can any one point me in a direction and mabey give me a clue on $ priceing on the setups. its a progect i dont have the cash for now but it dosent hurt to have a plan before you start.

Well, swapping in an FD motor is 1. a hard task and 2. not needed. It would be better to just throw in the 13BT block and use T2 parts...easier and cheaper. Honestly though, you'd be better off buying a T2 or just building a nice NA motor up and running NOS or something...



Check out Atkins Rotary or Pineapple racing...you could do a bridgeported NA and run 75 shot NOS for a good low 13 high 12 second car...

i really depends on how much hp you want, where you are going to drive it, etc
