btw, they're not the same, even by those pics. The top ones, I've seen on NA and T2 FC's, the bottom one, I have on my car as you can see, and the piping that goes into the mufflers is probably bigger than the other ones too.

I really like the way the one I posted "curves" up and ends flush with the bumper, that's a sleeper look I'm going for

To reiterate what Dakmis said, the RR mufflers are built to use a different y-pipe. The different y-pipe requires a longer length of pipe between the body of the muffler and the y-pipe.
The cost of the additional pipe is reflected in the price.
