Tearing It Down

Remember to disconnect all electrical plugs before trying to pull the motor youd be surprised how easy it is to forget a wire. Take off all the manifolds to make things easier. Unless you have a photographic memory take pictures or label every plug, at least the first couple times you pull things apart. and while your at it look up the write up on how to remove the vaccum rack, unless you need emissions.

Update: well, I have gotten everything but the a/c and p/s off, including the uim, I am slow, I know, but I am not really in a huge hurry, and I have never done it before, since I am on the subject, is it just the two bolts holding the a/c to the bracket? or is there more? should I pull the P/S off first? because the fsm says to do the a/c first, then the p/s.

haha, its been a while. i dun remember whats on top and whats on bottom but i know you take the one on top off first then the one on the bottom. not sure about the bolts but i belive they are fairly obvious bolts. then when you have i think one or 2 of them of you can take of the frame they are bolted on.

it is annoying how the smallest things can hold you up, I found out I don't have a 14 MM crescent wrench, which I need to get at the bottom bolts on the ac, so now, here I sit, unable to complete pulling the motor, because of one wrench. (of course, I could just go to discount and buy one, but that isn't nearly as much fun as bitching about it on the inTarWeb)
