I'd go for selling the vert and buying a Turbo II for less money.

I dunno what the hold button is, I've never owned an auto thank god.

A Automatic does have more power loses than a Manual, but they can be decent. (Personally I hate them) but they do allow the motor to be working in it's power band. Modern Auto's with a full lock torque converter get nearly the same mileage as a manual too.



I'm sure your Vert is HEAVY, and the bug is light. Your Vert at best has 160 HP.



What you need is MORE power. I wouldn't worry about the Automatic thing.



Some of the fastest bracket racers use automatics for their consistancy

Save your money, keep the vert... When you need to rebuild the engine have the car converted to stick. Also make sure that you get a street-ported engine. The difference will be night and day and you'll have one of the best looking 2nd-gen models around. I'm in canada and there is a shop near-by that did an auto-manual conversion on an FB, for fairly cheap. I'm sure you could find a shop near you to do the same... vert's look amazing. KEEP IT
