Stripped Brake Bleeder Screw?
#11
I bought some speed bleeders at O'Reily. Morons sold me the wrong size. They looked too big from the start but the guy insisted that they were the right size because it was what his catalog called for. This was just short of 10 pm when the store was about to close. So I went back to the shop and tried again to get th bleeder screw out. Heating it and grabbing with vice grips didn't work and stripped it out even more. I then decided to hammer a slightly smaller 6 pt socket on it. I think it was 7mm. Finally got the bitch out. The new bleeder didn't fit. Tried to take one off one of my friend's non-running 2md gen, but his stupid wheels didn't allow enough clearance to get a regular socket on the lug and we couln't find the special tool. Then tried one off our 1st gen project car, wrong size. Got a ride back to the house from a friend to get the keys for my third gen. I thought I had an extra speedbleeder in the glove box. It doesn't fit. Ended up taking one off the front caliper. Don't matter, third gen doesn't run yet. Bled the brakes and was finally done. The damn e-brake still sticks
