Stock Fan Clutch
#1
I dug out the stock fan and shroud yesterday. I'm going to put them back in instead of the efan thats in there now. The stock fan has been sitting for a few years. How do I know if the clutch is good in it? When I spun it by hand, I felt resistance like every half turn. Is this normal?

That's about normal, you have to remember about those fans, that they spin at thousaunds of times a mintue not just a spin by hand. My friend's when we changed to his old stock one, you could barely turn it by hand but thte motor had no trouble and the clutch is fine. If it acts up just give it a little WD40 in the clutch.

the only way to test it is to put it on the car bring it up to operating temperature, then use something old and soft like a shoe or something to touch it to see if it stops, you could use you hand but i wouldn't...
