Starting problem---ECU???
I own a 1987 Turbo II and it just won't start anymore. Since the problem first appeared, it happened more and more often to a point that it's now permanent.
I know it's not flooded. I checked for spark on the trailing plug of the front rotor and it makes only one spark when the engine starts cranking and then nothing. So, I changed the coil and igniter sets, the spark plug wires and I also checked the crank angle sensor-----------still won't start!!!!!!
I'm beginning to suspect that it could be the ECU .
IS THAT POSSIBLE??
I keep for spares a 1986 GXL 2+2. Can I try the ECU from that car on the Turbo??

have you checked you spark plugs? i had this happen to my t2, and after changing everything except the plugs and the wiring harness (i checked it though) it turned out it was a fouled plug. on the leading side they both fire together, it like christmas lights either they both fire or you get nothing. in my case it was a fouled spark plug.
