This happens every once in a while. I will start the car the engine is running normal but none of my interior swithes work: Lights, wipers, windows, logicon unit and conv. top. Is this a sing that my C.P.U is dieing. If not what else could be wrong.

 

My other 88 vert has the same problem, mine can be solved by wiggling the ignition key a bit, put a switch on so you know if wiggling the key worked. I guess from the car sitting for so long some things are wacky in there. I still havent tried some lock lube.

 

Check your grounds. If you want add another ground just to see what happens.

 

i think rob is on the right track. if you look at the lock cylinder on the back side (where the wires are) is where the switch is, maybe yours is not all the way on?

When we first started up the car, the car ran great, but NOTHING worked inside, nothing at all. I dont know what made me do it, but I wiggled the key and the little red lights came on the climate controls, then everything worked, I was so happy to say the least.

 

i'm not sure about the fc's but you usually can get the electrical switch seperatly

Mine does the same thing that your does. If the stuff doesn't work I just turn back the key a little and it will turn on.
