1. ck compression, when my engine had low compression it did everything you stated!
2.try like vosko said and run atf through the engine. the problem can be excessive carbon build like my engine.
3. do not run super grade gasoline in a slightly modded car or you will have a carbon problem! not saying that you do , but for everyones peice of mind.
