I have a 86 NA AT with the secondary throttle blades removed, ebay airfilter, air pump removed. I didnt do the iratic idle until I set my TPS. I warmed up the car and shut it off. I got out my handy mutimeter and checked the conector... 2.3 k...way off so I set it to 1 k and plug it in. Start it up and high idle...about 1500-2000 and it flutters about 500 rpm... I checked the TPS again and the seting was good and the full range was good... max was 4.2k pluged it in and started the car same thing... pushed in the tps and the it wants to die.. so I think its good.... any thoughts on my problem..... please help ...

I don't know ever since I had mine set with the light method it's done the same thing, except it never does go to 2500-3000 on a cold start

With a modded TB it doesn't idle like stock from what I've heard from a few people but I would still look at vaccum lines and see if theres any leaks. These cars a picky to the smallest leaks.
