When I bought my 89 gxl it had a small oil leak and dropped a drop or 2 that I would notice. It seems like it's been getting a little worse but not too badly because when I check my dip stick it's still on full. It looks like oil is leaking almost right below my oil filter a little bit and it smells like oil burnt oil under my hood, I can't see what it is hitting because it probably burns away in a second. When I have my heat on the smell gets into my car and I'm sure that can't be too healthy for you. Are there any main areas to check?

your oil pressure sender could be cracked, or the oil filter mount O-rings are leaking (most likely)

 

I think I have the same problem, but ina different spot

 

I think its getting on my exhaust somewhere, it can always leak and run down wires and stuff and go to a completely different area of the car.

 

Mine seems to be leaking off my undertray, so Ive never really got to see where it came from, i dont burn oil super fast so its not leaking bad.

 

Yeah, mine drips from the bottom of my car also. I looked today again and it looks like there is a drop under the oil pan, but maybe i'm wrong.
