Unhappy

I hear that the 89? and up cars are better and faster? Easier to make more power? Is this true? To what degree? This one has everything but leather and auto(dont want auto) and seems to be well cared for. Couple of small probs. Rear wiper non-op and sunroof is a bit finnicky. It will move and then stop, but the motor is still spinning. If you help it along it will keep going. Also it doesnt idle all that good.

Any thoughts??

thanx

depends on how patient you are...the 89-91's have some subtle impriovements, but with the extra money you save on buying an older one, you could use that for mods.

no T2's came in auto so that is prob good news to u hehe...

the only problem is 89-91's in great shape are REALLY REALLY hard to find. but almost every FC has the little problmes you listed...wiper/sunroof/etc...

good luck on the search

Um....an automatic T2? They don't exist to the best of my knowledge...are you sure its a turbo? Anyways...I'd get an 87 or 88 just because you'll be waiting a long time to find a good 89+ for a good price. The 89+ T2s are faster...but more expensive...and you can just modify an 87 to be faster...the difference isn't much...only like 15hp. They have a better turbo and updated looks...that about it..

thanx guys! Thats kinda what I figured. But you never know, like in Turbo Buicks, the 86-87 intercooled cars are ALOT better than the 84-85 hot air cars. Faster and way easier to mod.

and it is a 5spd, not an auto, I would never even look at an auto hehe. And yes it is a turbo, has an i/c under the hood, a boost guage and acts like a turbo.
