Don't go with pacesetter, they are a peice of ****! Go with Racing Beat. Much higher quality, and they aren't that much $. You will have trouble going with 3" pipe, most all of the headers out there collect into a 2 1/2" pipe. I am thinking of going with 3" piping on my exhaust, and I've looked into it. Right now I've got the true dual exhaust from Mazdatrix, but my emissions test is comming up, so I gotta get it "street legal." :frown:

Is the racing beat exhaust a conversion to single kit? Or are there preliminary steps that need to be taken? I'd really like to cut my tail pipe count in half.

Pacesetters do suck...go RB! For a somewhat legal setup, use the RB headers, highflo cat, and the APEXi N1 single....that will give you good performance and you should still pass visual inspection with it. If you have emissions where you live, its not a good idea. If being legal is not a worry, then do what I did(back when I was NA)...get a downpipe and presilencer(from RB of course) and hook up to your choice of single exit catback. Headers will give you better performance, but they are more $$$...

You know I thought about useing racing beat exhaust but i went with the APEXi singel exaust uesing the racing beat header. much better perfromance from it. The APEXi is a singel stage system but they also have a dual one if you like that look too. And yes Pacesetter suck I have a friend that works for them. Or you might want to think about the Borla dual system.

I have the pacesetter exhaust for about a year. No real problems or fitment problems. I wish I went with the Apex N1 Duals though. At the time I got the pacesetter catback for 190 bucks. Big difference over the Apex. But this summer I will probably get two Apex N1's and cut off the pacesetter mufflers. Don't know yet.....

Thats not a bad price. The site isn't working though. Are you sure that is right. How does the Apex sound?? The pacesetter sounds good but won't fit into the body kit I will be getting this summer..
