I put a s5 turbo on my 87 tII and ported out the wastegate to try to combat boost creep.

reciently I've noticed a rattling noise coming from the turbo. when I was putting on my new corksport exhaust I inspected the turbo and found the wastegate flapper to be loose and rattling. Is this common??? with this new exhaust its really noticeable.

 

Have you checked the vac. valve to see if it can move freely.



Or maybe the linkage is screwed up.



Those would be my opinions for now.
