OK you guys know on a 6 port N/A center housing right under the 2 mani intake ports there is a hole right under them that has what looks like a bronze cap. Or kinda looks like a freez plug. i have a spare center houding that has it, but the motor on my car does not. I thought what I had was ab exhaust leak at the manifold but now after I went to change the gasket I saw that hole. you can feel the exhaust coming out of that hole. I went to DAP and they didnt have any thing mabey you guys know.

That happend to me when i took off my exhaust manifold. Cause i thought the manifold gasket was leaking. once i pulled teh manifold off. the freeze plug fell out. I knew that wasnt a good sign. I brought it to my old machanic and he JB weld is back in for me.

He called mazda, spoke to the for ever, called around at other places, looked in the FSM. and NO ONE and NOTHING could explain what this was for and what part to replace it with or how to replace it.

SO. you say you ahve a spare housing with it? I would try poping it out and hammering it back into your old housing and the JB weld it off. mine has held forever. no one problem.
