Apexi's IHI RX6 turbo kit included a now infamous wastegate that many customers found to stick under high heat (expansion). My question is- Has anyone who has purchaced an Apexi wastegate after 2001 had any problems? Do the new wastegates have the same bolt pattern as the old ones did?
Thanks,
Max

i doubt apexi would have kept a bad design...thats just bad for buisness. i have the apexi wg and i did have it sent to xs for the part to be fixed...it was a tiny little brass valve guide....alll they did was change the materials that it was made from... its stainless now. same size...just different because now it heats up similar to the rest of the wg. i talked to Mas a little about this when i was trying to get a fitting for my rx6 kit back in the first part of this year. and he said he hasnt heard of anyone complaining about this. i mean comeon all they have to do is change one part during construction...if you are worried about buying their wg because of this i would recommend just calling them. i have no clue about the flange style...but once again i doubt that they would change it because that meants they have to change the flange on all of there kits...it seems like it would cost to much for it to be a smart move for a company. i would only change it if something better came out. i have the rx6b kit i love it its great and i feel that apexi went out of there way to get me some parts that i needed from japan which was a huge pain in the ***.... anyways i like apexi
