I just got a GXL LSD for my S5 GTU, and was wondering about something stated on the FSM. It says that when removing and reinstalling the diff, the position of the driveshaft and driveaxles in respect to their mounts on the diff have to be marked and matched-- basically to preserve the balance. Is this a big deal? I mean, marking and positioning stuff doesn't seem to be applicable because I'm throwing a totally different diff in there.

I hope I made sense!!

Thanks in advance.

i usually use white out or a paint marker and mark the ds and the input on the diff.
