Running Too Rich?

well guys, it seems to be a major flooding problem, i disconected the crank angle sensor and pulled all of the plug out....turned it over for about 15-30 seconds...let it sit for about 30 min then repeated 2 more time....an hour and a half later i put all the plugs that i just cleaned back in...rewired everything....plugged the crank angle sensor back in and then go to crank it up...mashing on the gas peddle like lord of the peddle...it crunk up..smoke like a son of a bitch, let it rev up for a bit...and now it seems to do fine...im goin to fill the tank back up and see how the gas mialge goes...thanks for the help
