Running An Engine Stand
Someones done it before, they had a gauge cluster gooked to it too for fun i guess. It had blue flames coming out of the ports at idle, and big ones when revving.
I cant find that video again thought,

81-85 distributor and 2 coils
low pressure fuel pump(ours hangs on the wall)
car battery
rotary bell housing(secured on table somehow)
starter for said housing
header(or something equivalent)
radiator and hoses
carburator and racing beat upper intake
The bell housing is mounted to a steel table. The engine is basically as it would sit in a car. Vosko has a video of my engine running on the test stand. I believe its called engineonteststand.avi

MPM- thats essentially a list for any carbed engine to run
on a stand, I believe he is asking about a fuel injected
engine.

Probably.
Kevin Landers was the guy Lee is referring to, and he had it mounted on some kind of wierd chassis looking type stand, using both motor mounts to sit on rather than bolted to an engine stand.
He did it with a full wiring harness and ECU from an EFI FC 13B motor.. Looked like an awful lot of work involved for just something kinda fun to do..

Just a question from an old geezer – If an engine is bolted to a stand, and it’s started, aside from exploding eardrums and shattering glass from the exhaust noise, won’t the stand fall over?
