you can drill/cut it out.Look for the seams. Ray@ Malloy said its a straight piece across the bottom so look for spot welds and seam sealer.-0
i just talked to Ray@ Malloy Mazda about this the other day because i have to replace the rocker on my gxl.
if you need the part call 1 888 533 3400 ask for Ray!

yeah i want to change mine on my gxl tell me how it goes for you and how much did u pay for the rocker panel.
