Did you do that compression check when it was cold? Sounds like you have some vacuum leaks, old plugs/wires, and possible leaking fuel injectors..

Compression tests on a cold engine will be exaggerated, and cranking speed also has a big effect.

I for one, believe that hot-start flooding is most likely due to low compression.

Let's hear your warm compression results.

with the engine hot and cranking really slow(tic, tic, tic)i get 3 even bounces off 35 psi on both rotors,if i crank the motor faster i get 80 psi readings on all faces, any other ideas

If you were near me I'd test it for ya.

IIRC for about every 5 revs comp. is increased/decreased 1.0psi. Some of my graphs don't come to zero and this is due to a slight shift in adjusting to 250rpm.

If you're getting around 80 spinning it at a decent rate it doesn't sound like your compression is that bad. You need a real accurate rev counter if you're doing it with a manual gauge. I may go too far but that's just me.

Cheers
