[quote name='NoeVuh' date='Jul 16 2005, 12:21 PM']I have the true duals all the way to the Y-pipe

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of True Dual exhaust?

What Y-pipe bolts to the true dual header to make that application even possible?

I'm not aware of RB making such a piece, did someone fab it for you?

I dunno i want to get the whole RB setup. NOt the true dual or the road race but the header (Collected) to presilencer to RB catback i thnk thats a nice setup for a n/a. I dont want it to be loud until i get on it. Dont need to compete with these hondas boys. Just taht the system cost almost a $1000 not counting shipping

[quote name='FCmaniac' date='Jul 16 2005, 04:40 PM']What do you have after the y pipe? That could be part of why its so loud... even though I've never heard a quiet rotary with a header.

I mean i have the RB true duals header, pre-silencer, and y-pipe then had a local shop finish the rest of the pipe with some ebay mufflers. Not that best quality from past the y-pipe but it is what i could afford.

If you think about it the Duals will be quiter as there is 2 peices to quite the noise per rotor as opposed to just 2 for both rotors with the collected setup.

Also, I had Mazdatrix duel exhaust which is nearly the same as the RB setup and I'm not sure what you consider loud but duals sure arn't it in my opinion.

I thought it was something like that. If you want it quieter, just get two resonators (presilencers) welded in the piping between your y pipe and mufflers.

its not loud loud, i drove around without anything past the y-pipe to get to the shop and that was loud, now it can be fun loud but also can get annoying when trying to hear the radio when going down the highway.

So how's the performance compared to what you had before? Any issues with your 5/6 ports opening up?

Its a lot better for just doing exhaust on an NA. There seems to be more torque and power but i have not had any other setup to compare it to. I have a S5 so the ports are not a problem since they don't run off the exhuast. The only thing i want to change is the pipe from my y-pipe to mufflers becuase i got it done cheap and so it is kinked and not mandral bent.
