the stock ECU cuts fuel to the rear rotor at boost levels above like 8.5 psi. if that FCD is crappy or installed incorrectly, it might be sending a wrong signal to the ECU and it might think that engine boost is always above 8.5 psi, and it might be cutting fuel even at idle.



like cheers said, remove the FCD and run the car. it will still work fine (assuming the engine is good), but if you overboost, the rear rotor will shut off and that isn't good.

Supposedly my ECU has a FCD programmed into it. Recently, my brother and I have finally been able to push past 5psi on my T3/T4, and it's at 12psi right now. Runs STRONG and it's damn fast. How can I know if it actually cutting fuel to that rear rotor, though?

really? Fuel cut for me fuels like uppper RPM hestitation at a high gear like 3rd, 4th or 5th.

Wait are you guys saying that a full racing beat exhaust (header, silencer, cat back) could blow my engine???

On a N/A, absolutely not. You'll make even more power if you lean things out with a safc.



A tII is a different story...
