Having a talk with my old school rotary dad. He thinks using just for cause.. S5 N/A block with a Dellorto 48 DLHA with appropriate exhaust will make more power then the stock EFI system? what do you guys think. start crunching the CFMs. I would also say from my point of view I guess the carb would be more tuner friendly...oh wait the Rtek 7 damn

i think so too, the mazda intake manifolds are kinda restrictive. i think you're looking in the 165-175 rhwp range with the rtek/safc/stock intake setup, and maybe 175-185 with a carby/48mm tb

Yea I guess I didnt think about the whole manifold side of it. I was just looking at dumping as much air/fuel as possible..Good point. the RB unit for the Dellorto looks like it flows very well.

keep in mind carb...creates 13mpg or less in the city ...and 15mpg or less highway ....but it will give a 10-20hp gain....

carb==more tuner friendly is relative, i think

easier to tune than efi just because you just turn some screws, etc. personally, i prefer efi just because of the extensive things you can tune that you couldn't control with a carb

so yea, carb=insta power, but theoretically couldn't you get the same power out of a proper tune? (not using our ecu, of course, lol)
