Question About Stock Ecu
#1
Does it keep the same fuel ratio in the upper rpms that it has at idle or does it drop lower. Trying to tune the fuel right on my car but my a/f guage doesnt work all the time it cuts out above 1000 and i havent been able to drive it lately. Another thing even with the fuel adjustment switch on the right wheel well in the engine bay adjusted all the way rich my car wont go rich. I can however lean it all the way out with the switch. Does the ecu limit how much you can increase the fuel with it? I cant wait till i get my haltech will make this so much easier. By the way this is a S4 na ecu.

the short answer is yes, the afr's change with rpm and load. the load vs rpm map is divided into zones, there is an idle zone, cruise, deceleration, etc.
part b to your question is the idle mixture screw only adjusts the fuel for idle, and you wont see it change on your guage because the air pump injects its air at idle before the 02 sensor, and it throws off the reading
