peak torque when does it happen?

is there any way to gauge when or about when you engine hits peak torque with out a dyno

(ie when engine sees full boost etc)

pep boys has a little hand held computer that you put on your dash that reads peak output for both torque and horse power. It will also do 60' ,1/8 ,1000' ,and 1/4 mile times along with accelartation times. It cost around 250 dollars. In my oppinion it is a great tool to see what your car is doing.

Its usually around 5.5k to 6k rpms on a turbo Rx-7.
