carfax will give you some registration info, but the accident history or any body work may never show up. Run the carfax, but inspect the car VERY closely.

it had detailed info on a 84 GSL-SE I ran through, all the way to the first registration back in 85.

i bought a gsl-se wrecked that had a clean carfax....

we did one on the guys truck i worked with before. Said it had caught on fire in the front right wheel well and spread across. Only reason it actualy showed up was because a fire station was called to put it out. So lots of things dont make it on carfax.

hmm, car had been in at least 6 accidents, but carfax was clean. too bad i havent owned the car since 2000...

they guarantee 100% satisfaction or some ****. i think the catch is that they buy the car back from you...so you basically break even without getting a car.

in hindsight, they could have given me $600, and i would have given them a totalled gsl-se. it was a fun project, and it turned out really nice but i could have just bought a nicer car.

i think my dads got a couple pics of it still, all mine dissapeared.

car was hit in the front, i replaced the core support, fenders, hood, bumper, header panel, etc.
