If you dont have a manual you can look it up @ fc3s.com, it takes a while to load but me explaining it when im hammered will take much longer

try unplugging it and plugging it back in. also make sure that the ground is clean

In my opinion it's more likely that they are fine and it's just the electrical connections... which is what the others are mostly suggestin also.



The sensors don't 'send' codes BTW, when the ECU detects a fault it's usually it detects lack of continuity on a circuit, or incorrect resistance (same thing really)



The S4 is very primitive and basically just checks for continuity on the ECU integrated engine components, but the S5 does more checking on the expected resistance ranges, and on more of the components including the emissions junk.



So it's likely you have wiring problems, faulty connections, or bad grounds... just check all that stuff out and you'll probably find a number of things.

that should work, i've seen it bolted to the trans on one of the slave cylinder bolts in a manual, i've also seen it bolted to the rear engine housing, using one of the bolts for the inspection cover up top.
