Well I got my rx-7 a little over 3 months ago,the only thing was it didn't wanna build boost but it drove an sounded fine untill the gas peddle is pressed pass 1/4 throttle then the boost gauge go's up to 0 an the car starts to putter an acts as if it wasnt to cut off but it stays running just keep's puttering. And when the gas is pressed below 1/4 throttle you can hear the turbo an it seems like it's building boost but no power an the gauge reads -20? . . .if somebody could help me or might have an idea that would be great thanks! . . .

holy crap, I was brousing through the forums looking for an old post that could answer this question myself. my symptoms are boost needle peged at 40+, no throttel responce past 1/4 peddle, and all of my other electrical operated things go nuts once in a while. Horn blows when it wants to, rear wiper goes when it wants to, flashers go nuts from time to time, radio dont work at all...... so far i found one burned pin at my headlight switch plug.

I kinda had a similar problem with making boost. I got to looking and my hose that runs from the turbo to the intercooler was cut and not really connected. You might wanna check it out.

Well the starting problem is fixed! It was plugs lol, But I'm still have'n the problem with it not building boost an bogging out! Could the TPS effect that because I just checked mine an it's stuck in one spot so I ordered a new one! All my intercooler hoses are ok an I put new clamps on them all! I really wish I could find the problem so I can drive my damn RX-7 an feel the boost!
