today is the officially the day i start building my little blue monster. im pulling the engine out of my 1st gen and rebuilding it for turbo and adding a street port. also in the plans is a chevy 12 bolt rear and a t5 tranny. the car will be carbed and running about 12-14 psi of boost with a mazdaracing custom turbo kit. ill try to keep u guys posted of my progress maybe we can even make a tech article out of it. just gotta make sure i take a lot of pics

Be ready for a wheelie bar, lol....My aunt(yes aunt) had an' 85 GSL-SE fully gutted w/ 13b carbed(don't ask why she converted, I don't know) turbo setup running 11psi. The car weighed just under 2000lbs...she ran 10s all the time in the 1/4 and could hardly ever keep the front end down w/ slicks...she later sold that car to some guy in Ohio...I wish she would have kept it...although...I didn't really know what an rx7 was back then, lol.
