Change the fuel filter, air filter, plugs and wires. After these items are all new - then post your findings.

Also take your fuel pump out and see if the strainer isnt clogged, ive seen lotsa problems occur because of dirt and rust clogging those things. Id also jump the fuel pump and hear if its running( there is a yellow 2 prong plug near your passenger side strut tower in your engine bay. just cross a wire to each prong.

fuel pressure? for a fuel injected engine (and this is an estimate) should be somewhere near 11psi+/- 1 or 2 psi (correct me if I'm wrong) <snip>

Way off. Try around 40psi.

yep 40 psi is definently right, If your running less then that is suggest the fuel pump rewiring mod and see if that helps any. if all else fails and everything but your pump is new (filters and what not) just go buy a walbro 255 and be done with it. or a fd pump

Yup, 40 psi system pressure, and I think its 90 psi pump pressure. Tested right at the pump.

And to get the pump to run you need to bridge (jump) the yellow 2 pin connector near the air box

You're thinking carbureted. Carbureted is around that psi, if I remember right. FI is way more than that, the fuel would just be dripping out of the FI, and that's not what you want, you want it misting out/spraying out.
