my 87 t2 has been over heating and i cant figure out why. i put a new radiator in it because it was leaking and i put a new thermostat in also. and when i first start the car it has a hard time getting started and when it does it smokes white smoke for a minute and sound like it is missing a rotor and then it warms up it sounds fine and stops smoking and all the power is still there . so any help would be appretiated.

Do you have to keep puting water in the car once a week or more.

Once you come to a complete stop and get out your car do you see water coming out you overflow tank ?

When it smoking go behind the tale pipe and take a wif of the smoke . what does it smell like?

you need to get a custom shroud to fit your fan. if engine continues to smoke, u need a rebuild.

smoking white + overheating is most likly your coolant seals are shot.

which requires a compleate engine rebuild or a new engine to fix.....

White smoke that smell like gas could be a bad pre-cat.
