You have to grind the turbo lower intake manifold to match the N/A ports/lower intake manifold gasket.



Also you can make the two ports on the side plates into one, since the hole is going to be one hole on the LIM.



U of Dayton-FC3S: To use the FD upper intake manifold you have to use a turbo Series 5 (89-91 model) lower intake manifold, grind that to match the N/A, then port match the FD intake manifold to the S5 upper intake gasket, get the FD oil filler neck, and other ****. I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere.

What are the benefits of using the FD intake? better flow? bigger TB?

Both FD/FC UIM flow about the same. You mostly benefit from the longer intake runners. And yea the TB is a little bigger.



But the benefits don't outweigh the hassle of it, unless you're good with a dremel, or buy the $400 adapter piece.
